Pets In Memory

In Memory of our dear departed friends

This photo was taken of Taylor in October of 2007,
a month after he arrived at the "Cranch."
Taylor

I listened to Taylor's pleas today and liberated him from his painful, tumor laden body. Watching him, laying peacefully on the tailgate of my truck, looking out to the western sky, filled with colors of ripe persimmons and tangerines, seeing it reflected in his one eye, filled me with such love for this amazing dog, who taught me that some dogs actually think, some dogs are so comfortable in their own -- sometimes very uncomfortable skin -- that they can receive life in the loving, appreciative way. I know he is grateful that I liberated him 4 1/2 years ago. I know that he felt loved -- every single day. I know that he loved Skooter and Lilly and even the kitties who hissed at him, while he simply sighed and said, "Ah so."
